Check out the FAADroneZone page on Facebook to get all the info you need to fly the new drone you are getting for Christmas. Make sure that you register your drone and the pilot too. There is a different FAA certification you need if you will make money using a drone, but even the drone hobbyist needs to know the rules.

Let me know if you have any drone-related questions. I am happy to answer or point you to the info you need. I am also available to teach you how to fly your new drone in one-to-one or group classes.

Did you get a new drone for Christmas? Don't forget to register the drone here: https://faadronezone-access.faa.gov
Be careful, and make sure you are on the official FAA site. Other companies have their sites come up above the FAA site when you search for drone registration.
Before you take the drone outside, make sure that you have the battery fully charged, and get all the updates for the controller, batteries, and drone. You can get the links for these from within the drone control software. When you do get outside with your new drone, take it to a wide-open area. Drone flying takes practice, and you will be happy to have all that extra room. There are a great deal of things you will need to know, so read the manual, really read it, before you take fight.
If there is an interest, I can put a class together and help you learn, so leave me a message here. One more thing, if you have a DJI drone, sign up for DJI Care. It is an additional charge but will protect you if you crash your drone.

Hidden gems of Pembroke, Massachusetts, Stump Pond, and Pudding Brook
Stump Pond, also known as Reservoir MA94127, was a 113-acre (0.46 km2) reservoir in Pembroke, Massachusetts in the East Pembroke section of the town, east of the northern end of the Routes 14 and 53 concurrency, west of Keene Pond and southwest of Arnold School Pond. Stump Pond was drained in December 1992 due to the failure of an earthen dam on the north-west flank of the body of water adjacent to an inactive cranberry bog. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stump_Pond_(Pembroke,_Massachusetts) #
