I had the most beautiful elopement in MQT today and man oh man the weather held off!

I think I spent the whole past week watching the weather like a hawk and the whole two hours of hiking along Lake Superior, we got some of the best images of the season so far.

I love this life as a wedding photographer. 🥰

I was blessed to second shoot down in Esky today for a sweet wedding with Korrine Lamoreaux. It felt good to get back in the wedding groove after such a long winter.

If you are new here, a huge WELCOME!!! My name is Hannah Kemppainen, and I own Otter River Images, a wedding photo and video company based out of Houghton Michigan.

A little about me: Me and my husband Scott make our home on the banks of the Otter River in a log cabin we love. We are coming up on our 10 year anniversary this fall. We love traveling, trying out new and unique resturants, hiking, fishing and being outdoors. I love horses and owned them for a wonderful 20 years (and can't wait to someday ride again). I love 90s country music, iced coffee year round, the peace and quiet of country life.

I've spent the last 10+ years in the medical field, and the skills I've learned there prepared me for providing down to earth customer skills that cross over into photo and video. This job, capturing your memories, is hands down my most favorite thing to do. I am a quiet person by nature, taking in each moment and crafting them into memories you will look back on years to come. (If I am quiet, please know I am deep in thought 😅).
