Following through on my promise to post an uncut video everyday in June…so here’s day 18. It was a long + busy day, so this all I could manage. Not exciting, no real purpose, no deep educational/inspirational thoughts. Just a bedtime chat about nothing and a random visit by the snuggliest dog ever.

See you tomorrow, hopefully with actual thoughts to discuss. 🤣

I’ve talked about it before, and I’m sure this won’t be the last time…Walmart is SO GOOD right now! Every time I walk in...

I’ve talked about it before, and I’m sure this won’t be the last time…Walmart is SO GOOD right now! Every time I walk in (which is weekly at the point) I leave with another outfit I love!

Here is how I styled pieces for 7 days straight…and no one believed me when I told them my outfit came from Walmart!

Comment SHOP for the links to these pieces and a few other favs❤️

The two versions of Taryn work together to keep the house functioning in some sort of organized chaos. Evening Taryn can be really lazy at times, but morning Taryn usually keeps her in line. 🤣

I sound crazy and that’s ok. (Because I am, in the best way possible!)

Serious question - Are you a morning or evening person? And do you feel like you have two versions of yourself?!

Nothing better than a fresh face at bedtime! 👏🏻 My nighttime cleansing routine has become one of my favorite ways to wind down + spend a little self-care time on myself every night.

I’ve been loving these Rice Water Bright cleansers from lately! They leave my skin feeling super clean while effortlessly removing makeup at the end of the day—without feeling stripped or dry.

Fun fact - I didn’t wash my face at night on a regular basis until my mid 30s. Just thinking about it now makes my skin crawl. I’m so proud that I finally became responsible enough to take care of my skin. 🤣

You can judge me, it’s fine. 🙈😱

These cleaners are affordable and so easy to grab during a run (or order on Target.com).

If you’re looking for a cleanser that gets the job done and leaves your skin feeling fresh, check out The Face Shop Rice Water Bright cleansers at Target or Target.com!

Day 16 - another mom I follow on IG lost her battle with cancer this week. When I saw the news of her passing today, I couldn’t stop the tears. And I’ve never met her in real life.

My immediate reaction also surprised me.

It made me realize how much goodness, love and support can come from social media.

There is something intangible but incredible about having an online community of women who love and support each other, even if we’ve only met virtually. I felt so connected to this mom and prayed for her often.

THIS is exactly what I would love to build here.

Moms. Women. Friends. And a place where we can share:

ideas
motherhood laughs
meals to feed the family
beauty/fashion for moms over 40
+ anything that is worthy of sharing to support us in this season 💪🏻

If you’re a mom looking for mom friends, be sure to follow along to be part of what we’re growing here!

Because there is so much beauty & power in community of strong, like-minded women who cheer each other on in life, through the highs and lows 🫶🏻

During the hot summer months my skin craves a moisturizer that hydrates without being sticky or greasy. I’ve finally found one that works so well for my combination skin - Neutrogena’s Hydro Boost Water Cream Plus. 💦

It’s a lightweight formula that’s ultra hydrating, absorbs quickly, and looks flawless under my make-up. I love the glow that it gives my skin!

Plus, this Costco-exclusive formula is enhanced with 25% more Hyaluronic Acid than the original formula for extra hydration.

Get your hydration glow on all summer long!

Day 15 of brain dumping with no edits. Pretty proud that I’ve made it half way through June with this challenge!

Sharing my number 1 tip for getting started with content creation. It may seem basic but it’s arguably the MOST important aspect of good videos and photos.

FIND THE LIGHT in your house, open up the windows, and start filming! Good natural light is the biggest step toward achieving professional looking videos. It’s seriously that easy!

Do you want to know more tips about content creation? Like favorite gear, how I film, etc? If there is interest, I may start a new series. Let me know in the comments! 🫶🏻

It’s Sunday, which means it time to meal plan for the week ahead. I always start by choosing 4-5 different of cultural meals which usually include: Italian, Asian, Tex Mex, American, Indian, Greek, BBQ, etc. This keeps dinner time interesting and everyone happy at our table!

On the nights we aren’t cooking, we eat leftovers from the other meals that week, or we eat out. I try (really hard!) to limit eating out to 1x per week for budget reasons….3 foodie kids mean expensive dinner bills! 😅

Over the past few years, I’ve been building my personal family dinner recipe book that has all of our favorite recipes stored in it and I’m pretty proud of it! This makes meal planning easy when I start with the framework of what type of food we want each day for the upcoming week.

I’ve shared lots of recipes on my page so far, so be sure to follow along for more!

Want to know what I’ve planned for our meals this week? Comment Meal Plan and I’ll pass it on!!

Dinnertime can feel like a chore but it can also feel like a fun family experience when you eat foods that are interesting and delicious! Oh, and I always focus on PROTEIN first when choosing new recipes.

“Fake it til you make it.”
I pretty much live my life by this concept. If you think I’m always confident and this is second nature for me, then my theory is proven correct (because I’m not)! There are so many days I feel awkward to post. Even embarrassed at times. But, I keep showing up anyway because I’m learning to embrace the cringe and also how to be authentic to myself in the process of creating. And THAT is a beautiful journey in itself!
