This year I had the opportunity to capture memories for Dawson band and color guard parents as a member of the volunteer photography team. Here are some offbeat moments that caught my eye.

First image - Band director relaying instructions during a brief respite during a football game. You are looking at this moment as a reflection on a snare drum face.

Second image - Drum majors enjoying the band making the cut to perform in UIL Area. The photo captures drum majors frozen midway as they leap to celebrate the achievement as soon as they reached the waiting band members.

This October was very special as parent of two marching band freshers. Learned so much about the effort the kids, band directors and band teachers, parent volunteers and the school staff Dawson High School Eagle Band and the band boosters put in to make it happen. A special shout out to DHS band and CG media team for making me part of the group. And to anyone at DHS band and CG if I have annoyed you with the camera, I am sorry! The moon that rose on Pi day (3.14.2025) underwent eclipse early next morning. Here is a composite of Pi day moon with silhouetted birds and the same moon eclipsed about 7hrs later.
