This weekend, I had the honor of photographing this gorgeous family! This family is so special to us. Coach Peters, Shante, Maddie and Cam = the vision of a Godly Family who stand firm for their beliefs.
Sarah's first year at Pearland, there were a few teammates that started a group text about her (she was new and believed in God and was unashamed to show it), and word got back to Coach Peters. He removed the leader of that group text from the team! It caused him a little backlash from the parents, and another quit because of his friend being cut. Coach stood by his decision and showed Sarah he supported her, even going as far as making her the Captain of the team. The "new girl" - the "Bible Girl" was now the captain.
When I tell you this family is special, I mean truly special. It's not easy to be a believer these days. Sometimes you receive persecution, questions, doubts, scoffs, but in the end, this family says, "we don't care. We are who we are, a family of God!"
They don't have social media, so I can't tag them, but just know they are amazing, and I'm so honored and blessed to call them friends.
