Wednesday Wedding Wisdom. Mosquito bites! If the bride will be in an area with mosquitos I always give her repellent wipes a few weeks prior. Test the use of wipes on your neck to make sure there is no allergic reaction. Wipes work better because you can apply more accurately. Apply around the neck below the make line and on the ears if possible. Apply to arms and most importantly apply to feet and ankles. This is west most bites occur. A bite on the face can cause redness and swelling. A bite on the ankle can cause eye redness and tearing. My job as your wedding photographer is too make sure you have the best images and that requires me to cover anything that affects the quality which includes mosquitos. Go with the pro.

Throwback Thursday. July 2020. Due to the lockdown I had to shutdown the studio and no outdoor sessions allowed either. Only real estate photography was legal. I have always done property photos but I also retooled and taught myself how to do 360 photos and virtual tours. Many home owners did not want to have buyers coming into their home so I created a virtual open house that was available to view 24 hours. Check out my shoe covers. Wednesday Wedding Wisdom. Engagement session locations. This waterfall is on private property. We had permission to use the waterfall for our session. Many others trespass and some make the mistake of trying dangerous stunts. Recently a few almost died here due to falling rocks. Go with a pro and respect private property.

Wednesday Wedding Wisdom. Where to take your formal portraits? Beach, garden, downtown or indoor? Fortunately we have all the answers and locations. Many locations have now banned photography. If you go to Sandy beach on any afternoon you will see 5 or 6 photo shoots going on. These are all the shooters from Waimanalo which now bans all photography. We have access to private venues and just in case of bad weather we have our studio ready.
