The nursery was precious, I couldn’t get over how much effort went into creating such a sweet space…but the better part was the way this husband and wife love each other and love this baby girl. It is a most excellent way to spend a morning, documenting kindness and care and new beginnings.

It's prom season! We couldn't have asked for better weather, the air was warm and the light was golden. I can't even get over precious they are, and one of them is my former student, which just made it that much sweeter.
Even though my personal prom experience was lackluster, I still love the time of year when all the flowers are blooming, the landscape is turning green again, and I see groups of high schoolers taking photos in their fancy best.

It’s my 100th post AND it’s officially the first week of Spring! I wanted to take a minute to show my face and say hello to anyone who is new around here. I’m Meagan, the lady behind the lens (it sounds like a Nancy Drew title, which is sort of fun for me, since I spent so many hours reading those books as a kid.)
It’s been 9 years since I got my first camera, and I’ve never stopped learning and loving photography. Families and newborns are my specialty, mostly because I really have such a high regard for the family structure. I love documenting parents with their children, no matter the season, because our family dynamic profoundly shapes us. You are someone’s child, and how you were raised impacts how you raise your own babies. That’s powerful, and documenting your family culture over the years is a way to keep track of the growth, the change, the hard times, the golden years, all of it. It’s all precious, and I can’t tell you how much joy it brings me to spend an hour with a family, in their home, with their kids, doing life together.
I’m so glad you’re here. Stick around for lots of loveliness! ✨

Fine art photography puts the spotlight on personality. There's nothing stiff or traditional about it, and the kids have an absolute blast goofing off and hamming it up, which makes for the best photos. They get to be silly, they get to make faces, and you get shots of those sweet little expressions forever.

Follow the yellow brick wall (but for real, it makes the best backdrop). When Maddie reached out about some headshots for her acting portfolio, I was pretty excited. She's a performer heading to university to pursue her dream and she handled herself with the type of poise I would have loved to have when I was her age! This young woman is going places, and she's cute to boot!
