I wanted to take a moment to introduce the person you’ll often see beside me at sessions—my wife, AJ.

Not only is she my biggest supporter, but she’s also become an incredible part of this business. As my second photographer, AJ helps capture the candid moments that often happen between poses—the genuine smiles, happy tears, laughs, and little details that help tell your story.

Behind the scenes, she’s always helping things run smoothly, keeping an eye on details, and making sure important moments don’t go unnoticed. Having a second set of eyes and a second camera allows us to capture your memories from multiple perspectives and create a more complete story.

I used to focus on taking a ‘good picture.’
Now I focus on creating a feeling. ✨

The first image was taken when I was learning my camera, learning poses, learning editing — honestly just learning how to be a photographer.

The second image is where intention started showing up.

Instead of just placing people in front of a background, I started thinking about:
• emotion
• connection
• lighting
• movement
• storytelling
• mood

And that changed everything.

Growth as a photographer isn’t always about having better equipment. Sometimes it’s about slowing down enough to develop your eye, your style, and your confidence.

Looking at these side by side reminds me how far TSloan Photography has come — and how much more room there still is to grow. 🤍

To every single person who has trusted me in front of my camera through every stage of this journey… thank you. Whether you booked me when I was just starting out or you’re finding my work now, you’ve helped shape this dream into something real.
