➤ When the Rains Came — Provo City Center Utah Temple

"And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock." —Matthew 7:25

I remember this evening, 2 years ago this month. I looked at the skies, and decided to try to make it to the temple to photograph it against the beautiful sunset - so I rushed to Provo (I'm not far away) and when I got there it was pouring rain - no sunset. But I decided to shoot anyway, and I'm glad I did! I took this from the steps of the courthouse because it was the only shelter I could find in the area. :) Hope you enjoy the photo!

➤ General Conference — Salt Lake Utah Temple

For 171 years, the general conferences of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints have been held in downtown Salt Lake City, Utah. This year, general conference was held remotely, via technology. This image, with the temple, the tabernacle, and a tree, represents to me the incredible legacy of these many conferences, where the words of the prophets of God have originated and been sent forth throughout the world. I love general conference! Captured in April 2019.

➤ To Be Faithful — Idaho Falls Idaho Temple

I photographed this temple a couple summers ago and just processed this yesterday. It's a historic and beautiful temple, built during World War II, and recently renovated and re-dedicated.

Ingredients:
- a beautiful day
- amazing fall color on the trees
- driving on the freeway at 75 mph
- passenger window open
- zoom lens
- lots of blurry and otherwise throwaway photos
- lots of luck
- Photoshop to remove the blurry post on the side of the road

Sometimes my drive-by photos do turn out OK. :D
