Here in the northeast US we've had rain for 7 straight weekends. Friday I had the chance to go out and take some pics with my camera at long last. Since the updates my pics aren't automatically uploading so doing it the old fashioned way. Manually 🙂🙂

With all the crazy rain we've been having, I took a drive down to the Great Falls last Sunday morning to see how intense the flow was. 😊

Obviously, there hasn't been much sunshine here in my neck of the woods, but when there was.... I managed to capture a few pics like this. I walked across a few rocks in the Wickecheoke Creek in Stockton. Not far from the Green Sergeant Covered Bridge, actually. Pretty and spacious area of the state.

After visiting the Red Mill in Clinton, I decided to check out the nearby Lake Solitude Waterfall Observation Deck in High Bridge. First time visiting. The waterfalls are a result of it being a dam. Very picturesque. Especially with the mirror reflective water on top. There seems to be a slight conflict on when the dam was actually built. The VisitNJ site said 1858, but other sites claimed 1909. There apparently is an access road that takes you down to the base of it. I went to the entrance to view from the top. Parking is extremely limited. Maybe you can squeeze in 6 vehicles. If you park on the road, you'll get ticketed. $25 I understand. Squad cars drive by to check as well. I almost couldn't get out of my spot because cars parked close & tight to mine. Walking up to where I took this shot, I had to navigate around a lot of Canadian Geese droppings 💩. Some people were fishing when I was there. Hopefully, it's not for consumption. It was a nice, brief stop 👍🏾

For those of us who were of age, Tuesday morning, September 11th, 2001, is a day that we'll never forget. It started off as a beautiful sunny day, but as the day progressed, it became a surreal event. Where we lived at the time (as well as where I live now), I'm not far from NYC. I can see the skyline from certain spots. Many lives were lost that day. Some of you may know someone who did. I remember being at Garrett Mountain along with other people watching the smoke where the towers used to be. That as well as other images of that horrific day are forever etched in my mind. There are over 100 memorials throughout New Jersey, New York, and Pennsylvania, which a local fireman has documented so far. These are a few that I have visited. The first 5 I recently visited in Yardley, Bucks County Pennsylvania, called the 9/11 Memorial Garden of Reflection. The two Fountains represent 11 as a friend pointed out. After that is The Staten Island September 11th Memorial. Pic 7 & 8 are from the 9/11 Memorial in Weehawken, NJ. The last is 9/11 Memorial in Morris Plains, NJ. I stopped by there yesterday. I know I will never forget.
