Childbirth Doula I enjoy taking photos that evoke those emotions.

A photograph captures a moment in time; within that moment, there is emotion. From everyday life, to those once in a lifetime moments; I want to capture them all. The gift of Life, when a new baby enters this world. The intense work that a mother goes through; laboring her beautiful baby into this world. Those early moments when a sweet newborn breathes in this beautiful new world. The first time

siblings meet. The gentle embrace of father and child. The last embrace of family members before their loved one passes on. The moments before a casket, covered with flowers, notes, love filled trinkets, is lowered into the ground. The support of family members as they come together to celebrate and mourn the life of someone they love. I want to capture it all. I want everyone to see the hidden beauty in all of those moments, whether happy or sad. Let me capture them for you!

September 6th is Stillbirth Remembrance Day

I have been able to give the gift of photographic memories to 2 families.
Those 2 babies have left a mark on me.

Baby Sawyer and Baby Genevieve, I will always remember you, and always share you.

Friends, family, always remember if someone you know is experiencing a loss, I will go take photos for them *free* of charge. It's something that is very important to me. Birth Photography, or postpartum photos, I will do everything I can to be there.

I also would like to share that I've been accepted into the Still Loved Grief Coach Certification Program.

I'll be learning how to support families experiencing pregnancy and infant loss with compassionate, trauma-informed care. 🤍

God woke me up today.
He said “daughter, don’t forget what birth is meant to be. Today you will be blessed with that reminder”

And He sent me to a birth that was perfect. Not because it was a homebirth (that is a perk)
The mom labored beautifully. She listened to her body. Her husband supported her. She had full control of all decisions made regarding her labor, delivery and postpartum. Consent was abundant. She was asked her preferences, and told her options. No pushback, no tension. Just full respect of the physiological birth process. Know better, do better.

Thank you God for the reminder of what birth can look like 🥹

I would have loved to have this option after my first. I was too ashamed to tell anyone I was struggling with breastfeeding and definitely didn’t want to leave the house.

But I will say, the office Bianca has is so amazing and comfy. And has really good snacks 😍

You can’t go wrong either decision you make. Just get a lactation consultant 😉

I have of births that I need to sit down and share!!
I’ve been neglecting my Facebook friends!!

Just popping in to say Hi 👋 and remind you that when you push, even with an epidural, It doesn’t require a provider to insert their hands into your va**na. No manual stretching is needed. It is rather eye opening to me seeing the vast differences between providers and what their “norm” is when It comes down to pushing. Pulling va**nal tissue down or to the side is not necessary. The baby’s head is perfectly designed by God to stretch a mom’s va**nal tissue and perineum.

I can’t get started too much because I’ll go on a rant and lose the strength of the point I’m trying to portray.

Anyways! I love you all. I promise I just want a better birth for you all. I’m not picking on anyone. But we have to stop and think why we are doing these things that are the “norm” or autopilot in a birth. And think how It can be triggering or even creating a birth trauma or future trigger. Explanation and consent go miles when building relationships with birthing moms. Hugs. 🫂

I had an unexpected weekend. A dear family friend of ours messaged us Thursday night to let us know their baby had passed away. My immediate reaction was “go to them….now” The human side of me paused, and I recommended an organization for them to contact to get photos of their baby. The next day, I received a text “the company isn’t answering me” and that’s when I knew. Go. We hopped in the car and drove to them. 7 hours. I spent the weekend preserving memories. It was beautiful. It was hard. It was sad. But knowing this is what God planned for me. He knows my next steps. No obstacle will stay in the way when He speaks. Sweet baby girl you are so loved. Blessed to have been able to meet you. Thank you God for equipping and choosing me 💜
