You knit me together in my mother’s womb. I will give thanks to You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made.”

In just a little while, I’ll hold your little hand for the very first time. I’ll pray with you, sing with you, and laugh with you. When you cry, I’ll wipe away your tears and hold you in my arms. All for the very first time.

Every day after, I promise to do it again and again. Even when I’m an old, old (handsome) man, I’ll continue to hold your little hand, pray with you, sing with you, wipe away your tears, and hold you in my arms. You’ll always be my baby girl, and I’ll always be your dad.

You are already so extremely loved, and we can’t wait to meet you.

Honored to capture portraits for the Missing & Murdered Indigenous Women & Girls (MMIW) event at Whitman College on 5/3/24. Visit mmiwusa.org to learn more about MMIW. CDC states murder is the sixth leading cause of death for Indigenous women and girls aged 1-44 in the US. May 5 is National Day of Awareness for MMIW. Events are happening nationwide and I encourage you to attend.
