V + B in Chinatown looking all cute and in love that I almost forgot we were in a heatwave when we did this session ☀️

Photographed in 35mm and 120 film + digital.

This one’s a little special because I chose Tungsten balance film for our daylight exterior session. Yes, I did this on purpose!

When I think of Chinatown, the imagery that comes to mind is evening, neon lights, shadows with teal-ish blue hues. I wanted to keep that vibe no matter what time we started, especially with the shadow hues, and that’s exactly what shooting tungsten film does when you shoot it in daylight.

Love how these turned out and loved (even more) getting to know V + B! Can’t wait for your wedding next year 🤍

If you’re wondering what those items are, think:

• watch/jewelry

• even if you got something customized for your suit, show it to me!

And if you don’t care for these things to be photographed, that’s all good too, and we can focus on capturing what’s truly important to you.

I’ve always loved watching movies and music videos where a wide group shot would have very cool blocking. This is something I try to implement in my group portraits, and they’ve been my favorites this year!

R + C in 35mm and 120 film photographs🎞️

From the moment we hit it off at their engagement session, I knew their wedding was going to be a good one. They’re effortlessly fun, the kind of couple you can joke around with all day, and by the time their wedding rolled around, it genuinely felt like I was showing up to photograph friends.

Of course, we spent the days before their wedding wondering if the weather in Oregon was going to cooperate. They had been dreaming about a romantic garden wedding since our discovery call, and the forecast had us a little nervous.

But then the sun came out (all day lol like the clouds that were there in the morning up and disappeared).

And suddenly, there it was — the dreamy garden wedding they had imagined all along. 🌿☀️

Ten years of choosing each other. Ten years of growing together. And now, a whole new chapter to celebrate.

I was behind my camera trying very hard not to cry during their vows.

Rachel + Cody, thank you for letting me and Andy be part of this one. We’d do it all over again. 🤍
