🚨 WORKING FIRE — RAMADA INN, BALTIMORE COUNTY 🚒🔥

At approximately 2:55 p.m., Baltimore County Fire and Police began receiving multiple calls reporting a fire at the Ramada Inn, located at 10100 York Road in the Timonium/Cockeysville area.

🚒 Engine 392 arrived and reported a two-story motel with smoke showing from Building 2. Crews located an active fire involving one of the building’s columns. A Working Fire/RIT Intervention Task Force was requested, bringing additional fire and emergency equipment to the scene.

After several minutes of firefighting operations, the additional assignment was canceled, the incident was held to units already on scene, and the fire was brought under control.

⚠️ Then came an incident that could have made an already dangerous situation much worse.

A driver drove over a charged fire supply hose that was providing water to the fireground, in front of approximately 10 Baltimore County Police officers. Officers immediately stopped the vehicle, and the driver was reportedly issued at least one citation.

🚨 NEVER DRIVE OVER A FIRE HOSE! 🚨

A charged supply line provides firefighters with the water they need to control a fire and protect lives and property. Driving over the hose can damage or rupture the line, interrupt the water supply, and put firefighters and civilians in serious danger.

Driving over a fire hose may result in citations, points being added to your driver’s license, or even arrest, depending on the circumstances and danger created.

Maryland law prohibits a driver from driving over an unprotected fire department hose laid across a highway or private driveway without the consent of the fire department official in command.

🔥 A few seconds of impatience are NEVER worth interfering with emergency operations or putting the lives of first responders at risk.

🚒 SEE A FIRE HOSE? STOP. TURN AROUND. FIND ANOTHER ROUTE.

RESPECT THE HOSE. PROTECT THE FIREFIGHTERS. PROTECT LIVES. 🚒🔥🚓

Crash Team Conducts Investigation into Afternoon Collision

Detectives with the Baltimore County Police Department’s Crash Team are conducting an investigation into a crash that occurred on Tuesday, July 21, 2026, at approximately 2:25 p.m. in the 7800 block of Harford Road. A preliminary investigation indicates the driver of a 2017 Ford Focus was traveling southbound on Harford Road when the vehicle crossed into the northbound lane, entering the path of a Baltimore County Public School Bus that was transporting students from the Maryland School for the Blind. A 2014 Nissan Altima was also struck by the Ford Focus. The bus came to a rest after striking a commercial building located in the 8700 block of Harford Road. This crash remains under investigation by the Baltimore County Police Department's Crash Team.

Parkville Bus Crash Response – July 21

On Tuesday, July 21, shortly before 2:30 p.m., the Baltimore County Fire Department and Baltimore County Police Department began receiving multiple 911 calls reporting that a school bus had crashed into a building in the 7800 block of Harford Road in Parkville, Maryland.

As emergency units were responding, dispatch received updated reports indicating that children were trapped beneath the bus. Engine 10 (Parkville) arrived on the scene within minutes and quickly confirmed that no children were trapped underneath the vehicle. However, firefighters confirmed that the bus had entered the building and declared a Level 1 Mass Casualty Incident (MCI).

It is important to note that a Mass Casualty Incident (MCI) does not necessarily mean that fatalities have occurred. In the fire and EMS service, an MCI is typically declared when the number of patients exceeds the resources initially available on scene, requiring additional personnel and equipment to respond.

Ultimately, two adults and one child were transported to local hospitals for further evaluation. Emergency responders from multiple agencies worked together to assess patients, secure the scene, and ensure the safety of everyone involved.

Baltimore County crews are investigating after a bus crashed into a building in Parkville. The Baltimore County Fire Department says the crash happened in the 700 block of Harford Road.

Command requesting a 1st Alarm Mass Casualty assignment for a 3 vehicle mvs involving a school bus into a building. No entrapment. 8 reported patients being evaluated by EMS. 3 reported to be juveniles from the bus.

⚠️ Use caution and expect delays in the area due to emergency personnel.
