You’re itching for summer to come and while you wait, why not plan for your summer photo shoot?

Whether you’re planning your engagement session, family photos, or traveling to Utah and want couples photos to remember your trip to the mountains, these tips will be your guide!

1. Wear neutral colors!

We want you and the scenery to be the focus. Bold colors can be distracting and the first thing you notice in your photos. Wearing neutral colors will help keep the focus on you and the landscape around you. We want your outfits to complement that!

2. Coordinate outfits, don’t match!

Wear outfits that complement each other, we don’t want to be matchy matchy.

3. Avoid bold patterns.

Wearing bold patterns can be distracting and they don’t always photograph well. Stick with subtle patterns or solid colors.

4. Bring two outfits.

Outfits can really change the feel of your photos, so bringing two can add variety to your photos and mix it up.

5. Wear clothes that feel like you!

Bring outfits that you would actually wear in real life. You’ll feel more comfortable, more like yourself, and that will reflect in your photos.

Love when it snows during winter shoots! These guys brought their cute pup which made it all the more fun!

If you’re bringing your dog to your couples session or family session, don’t expect them to behave. Instead, embrace the crazy and have fun!

Getting those candid photos with your dog where you’re playing together, petting him, or he’s running around you + your significant other while you’re taking photos makes those shots so much less stressful and more authentic.

Bring on the dogs!
