The endless roar of the crashing surf, wind ripping through everything, and the absolute freshest air. It’s not so bad when winter sun gets erased by an enthralling alternative. Life on the Oregon Coast ain’t so bad, rain or shine.

This year’s National Parks pass arrived feeling a little ummm… ✨less inspired✨… than the places it represents.

Our parks deserve better.

Washington is home to three national parks, each wildly different, each deeply personal to me.
The quiet, fog covered shores of Olympic.
The endless peaks of the North Cascades.
The scale and continuous presence of Mount Rainier.

Places that have shaped how I see, how I work, and make me proud and grateful to call them “home”

I had the opportunity to contribute photographs from each of them to these card sleeves, made specifically to carry a Parks Pass, with my good friends over

Just one small way to carry a reminder of why we go in the first place.

Ran up the mostly sunny coast from Oregon to join the family on a quick weekend trip to a brutally stormy Orcas, this weekend. That fireplace crackle brought a different kind of comfort, as did the rainfall on the cabin roof. Winter ain’t so bad when choosing to find happiness amidst the gloom.
