No words can describe how proud I am of this kid getting into PURDUE!

We’ve known his whole life big things would be coming for him. Now, to see him graduating into this next chapter, I’m proud to have had a front row ticket to all his amazing accomplishments.

Not my typical work post, but this week I had the pleasure of digitizing an heirloom graduation painting for a family so it could be shared with their entire family.

To see the attention to detail the original artist created was beautiful to capture. It had gotten a little damaged over the years, so I went in and corrected a few of the scratches, without taking away any of the character or brushstrokes.

Now this image will be preserved for even more future generations.

We used to have to yell P**P and make fart noises to get their attention and smiles. We’d jump around and dance and do absolutely anything to get the toddlers to look our way. Some years were easier than others, and all were worth it when we’d see the results. Now they are handsome young men with so much love for each other and their parents (and we still yell p**p, but more for fun) and I adore their family with every ounce of my heart.

Sometimes the kiddos are full of smiles and personality and giggles, and sometimes they are fighting being sick and become shy.
I’m all for the cuddles and self soothing just as much as the giant giggle smiles. There will come a time when our kiddos no longer suck their thumb or need their special lovey. Let them have them with you for a few photos. You won’t regret capturing ALL their stages.
