We are in the process of sending out emails to as many of you as we can. Since we have downsized our business significantly, we will soon be clearing out our gear and discarding old hard drives. We currently still have Photos and Videos dating all the way back to the 2014/2015 wedding seasons. Some of which are the final products only (edited photos/videos), and some that we still have all the raw footage and files.

‼️WE WANT TO MAKE SURE EVERYONE HAS THEIR WEDDING BEFORE WE DISCARD EVERYTHING‼️

Check the email for options and next steps. If you did not receive the email, please reach out and let us know!

‼️We will begin the discarding process at the end of June, so don’t delay reaching out if you need your wedding files‼️

We are so grateful to have had the opportunity to document your wedding. Let us know if we can help preserve your memories once more 🫶🏼

A big Happy Mother’s Day to all the moms and moms-to-be! Keep showing up, our kids need us 🫶🏼🌸🩷

When Jireh was a little over 2, I started bringing him into “big church” for the first song before taking him to his classroom. From the start, we’ve noticed his interest in music, singing and banging…. eh, I mean drumming. He stays on key and can impressively keep a beat. He quickly learned a few of the songs, lyrics and all, and would ask to sing them at home. I started pulling up worship songs on YouTube and we would have “praise Jesus music” time, where we sing, praise + dance for Jesus, right there in the living room. Sometimes it’s planned, sometimes it’s spontaneous. Both kids get so excited when they hear the music start. Little sparrow’s face lights up as she claps, stomps and show off her 1 year old version of dancing. Jireh would find anything and everything to play drums on - walls, tables, windows, me… you name it. My mom took note as well and bought him a little toy drum and a set of drumsticks. It quickly became his companion, especially for our music time.

We may be crazy, but he has such a passion for music and drums that Bryan and I bought him a real drum set for Christmas this year. I’ll have to break out the camera and capture him in his drum action, because as annoying as it can sometimes be, I couldn’t love it more.

I can already see a gift in him and I want to channel his love for music while he’s young. Sparrow, too, if she is inclined. But even more so, I want to cultivate their love for praising + worshipping their Creator.

“Let everything that has breath, praise the Lord.”

A Day in our Life Series, Part 2: Playtime with Mommy

In between the hamster wheels of laundry, cooking and picking up toys - amongst so many unseen things that fill a mother’s day - there’s intentional playtime with mommy. Though since initially writing this, Jireh has decided I’m just “Mom” and even Sparrow has adapted to calling me this. I know they grow up quick, but come on…at ages 4 and 1.5, I should still be mommy for a least a few more years, right?! 🤦🏻‍♀️😅

Regardless of their terms of endearment, mindfully playing with them is something I have to prioritize because it’s easy to get buried in the busyness of mundane tasks around the house. But the kids thrive when I step away from my work and step into their world.

It’s probably not on most mom’s list of play options, but one thing we do is have designated playtime on the bed - flipping, tickling, yes jumping…nothing is off limits during this time. Despite every other of my breaths being a gasp - cue the “that’s too close to the edge!”panics - it’s a great way for us to physically connect and bond over silliness and laughter. It also gets some of their energy out (always, always a plus).

We’re not super crafty (ok, not crafty at all 🙈), so we love reading books and easy-to-build toys for indoor playtime together (except when daddy is home, he’s the master of the hard-to build toys 💪🏼🙌🏼). Of course when the weather is nice, outside play is always on the not written down to-do list.

The work wheel won’t end. My days of playing with them will.

Here’s to not just hearing their giggles but laughing with them, not just seeing them play but joining the fun, not just observing them learn but creating the space for growth together.

Here’s to intentional playtime with Mommy. (I mean, with Mom 🙄😅🥰)

Mom friends, I’d love to hear what your intentional play time involves!

A Day in Our Life Series, Part 1: Bagels + Bible

It’s important to start a day off right. I’m not exactly sure how it happened (though I’m pretty sure it was after a girl’s trip to NYC where I had bagels + iced coffee every morning), but we stumbled into an almost every morning routine of eating bagels - or as Jireh calls them, “happy face beagles” (yes, I cut his pieces into a happy face) - and mama having an iced coffee. I’m not gonna lie…rough nights equal rough mornings so I look forward to this little pick me up at the beginning of each day.

I decided to take this time to get into God’s Word and start teaching Jireh Bible verses. Can I pause for a second and say how smart he is? He could quote the entire 23rd psalm before he was even 3 years old. He currently knows:
Genesis 1:1
Nehemiah 8:10
John 3:16
Psalm 23
Philippians 4:13
Ephesians 6:1, 2
Romans 1:16
Matthew 6:9-13 (The Lord’s Prayer)
Galatians 5:22, 23 (the fruit of the spirit)

He may not understand what it all means yet, but that will come in time as we continue to build a foundation of truth as he grows and we teach him more about God’s Word.

We laugh in the mornings. We talk in the mornings. We share silly faces at the table in the mornings. But my prayer is that included in some of their earliest memories, they will remember time with Mommy in the mornings, eating “happy face beagles” and learning the Bible. 🙏🏼

And that’s a (wedding) wrap! It’s been an incredible 14 years.

We’ve worked over 400 weddings in 5 different countries and at least 22 states. And we just delivered our last gallery. 🥹

I still have mixed emotions about life right now, but I know we’re where we are supposed to be. God is good and He will continue to direct us as we move forward. 🙏🏼

I’m grateful for you who are still here, still following along as we navigate what’s next 🫶🏼

This page will start looking a little different now. It’ll probably be more personal and we’ll showcase other types of sessions if and when we do them. We may sprinkle in some wedding memories for the nostalgia of it. We are still undecided how much work we will take this year, we are truly taking one day at a time.

A season has officially ended, a new one has begun. Just like so many of the incredible weddings we have been part of over the years. Thank you to all of our wedding couples, many who we now call friends.

✨Cheers to love and to new beginnings! ✨

Do people look at me like I’m crazy when I do weird things like this? Yep. But there’s always a vision behind the lens. Trust the process friends, trust the process. 😅

I often wonder what goes through guests minds on a wedding day when they see photographers do stuff like this. It can be awkward and I can’t count the times I’ve felt like an idiot 🙈 I tell myself they’ll understand when they see the finished product, knowing full well that guests will probably never see these extra images we deliver to the couple. The worst is when someone comes and just stands over your shoulder, watching🤦🏻‍♀️ Fellow photogs, you feel me?? 😂
