IMPORTANT UPDATE:
As we near the end of our peak 2026 season, we wanted to take a moment to share a little business update and, most importantly, say THANK YOU to every single client who has trusted us with the opportunity to capture your family’s memories this year. When we started this business almost four years ago, it was just the two of us with some extra time on our hands and a dream of creating a little side hustle. Fast forward to today, and our clientele has grown immensely year after year. We are incredibly, incredibly thankful for that.
But as our business has grown, so have our lives outside of photography. We adopted our daughter in 2023, and she quickly became our number one priority. Korey still works full-time, and Hannah is a full-time stay-at-home mom to a very, VERY busy toddler.
To put it simply… we took on more than we realistically had the capacity to handle this season. And if you know Hannah, you know she has a really hard time saying no to people. 😂 Unfortunately, taking on too much resulted in an extended turnaround time for some of our galleries, and for that, we take full responsibility and are genuinely sorry.
We want to reassure you that we have been working overtime to get caught up as quickly as possible, while still maintaining the quality and editing standards you chose us for in the first place.
Our clients choose us because of our quality, our style, and the way we edit your memories. We never want to send out a gallery that we aren’t 100% happy with simply to meet a deadline. Your photos deserve to be something we’re proud to put our name on, and we hope you feel the same way when you receive them.
We also want to share a little bit of what contributed to the delays this year.
We intentionally block out two days every single week as “off” days that are dedicated solely to editing in addition to the editing we do every other day. However, Florida weather had other plans for us this season. This was by far one of our most weather-affected seasons, with an unusually high number of weather-related reschedules and delays. Those editing days repeatedly had to become rescheduling days as we worked to move sessions around, accommodate weather changes, and make sure we could still photograph clients during their limited vacation windows. That created a pretty consistent editing backlog throughout the season.
We know that extended turnaround times can be frustrating, as a few clients have not so graciously let us know. We completely understand that you are excited to see your photos and we are just as excited for you to see them! We hate having to ask for extra time just as much as you hate hearing that we need it. Please know that we are not sitting on your galleries. We are working overtime and doing everything we can to get them finished and delivered as quickly as possible without sacrificing the quality of your images.
So to every client who has been waiting: we are sorry, and we appreciate your patience more than you know.
And to everyone who has shown us grace, kindness, and understanding while waiting for your gallery…thank you. It truly means so much to us.
After a lot of thought and discussion, we have made the decision to take on significantly fewer sessions in 2027. Our goal is to create a better overall client experience, which includes quicker turnaround times, more streamlined communication, and opportunities for sneak peeks. Sneak peeks were requested several times this season, and unfortunately, with a consistently full editing queue, we simply weren’t able to offer them the way we wanted to.
Taking on fewer sessions will allow us to be more intentional with every client we serve and, ultimately, give you the experience we want you to have. It will also allow us to have a better work-life balance for ourselves which was basically non-existent this year. We didn’t get to go to the beach for pleasure a single time this summer which is such a bummer, but we felt it was most important to prioritize our commitment to our clients.
With that change, there will be a slight price increase beginning January 1, 2027.
Past clients will still receive their past-client discount when booking. And if you’re a new client, you can still book at our current 2026 pricing as long as your session is booked by January 1, 2027.
We know that many of you have chosen us because you love the quality of our work while still being able to offer it at an affordable price. That is something we are incredibly proud of, and we want to assure you that our pricing will still remain affordable. When we say a slight increase, we truly mean a SLIGHT increase.
We’ll share more information as we get closer to January, including updated pricing, availability, and some other exciting changes we’re working on for 2027! For now, we are focused on finishing out this season, getting those galleries into your hands, and giving every family the beautiful memories you trusted us to capture.
And PLEASE stay tuned for lots and lots of gallery posts because we have photographed SO many amazing families this year and haven’t even had time to consistently share them with you! 😭
Four years later, we still can’t believe this little side hustle became what it is today.
Thank you for being here. Thank you for trusting us. And thank you for giving us the opportunity to capture your memories.
