I know social media makes photography sessions look perfectly posed and effortless sometimes…

But real sessions?
They usually involve:
kids running everywhere 😂
parents bribing toddlers with snacks
windy hair
sand in everyone’s shoes
and lots of laughing in between

And honestly?
That’s exactly what makes them beautiful.

The goal is never perfection over here.
The goal is preserving this season of life exactly as it feels right now 🤍

I think one of the reasons I connect so much with moms during sessions is because I AM one 😂🤍

So when your toddler is melting down…
or your kids are covered in sand…
or you’re stressed trying to get everyone dressed and out the door…

I promise I get it.

There’s honestly no judgment over here.
Real life is messy sometimes.

And usually the families worried their session is “chaotic” end up with some of the sweetest galleries 🥹

One of my favorite parts of this job honestly isn’t even the photos 🤍

It’s the conversations during sessions.

Hearing how families met.
Listening to moms talk about their kids.
Watching dads slowly loosen up during photos 😂
Getting to hear about vacations, engagements, pregnancies, and life updates.

I know people book me for photos…
but I never want sessions to feel transactional.

I want people to leave feeling comfortable, cared for, and genuinely seen.

And I think that’s why I still love this job so much after all these years 🥹

If you’ve ever wondered why sunset sessions book so quickly in summer… this is why 🌅

The warm light.
The soft skies.
The way the water reflects the sunset colors.
The kids running barefoot through the sand.

There’s honestly just something magical about summer evenings at the beach.

And yes… it’s HOT 😂
But somehow sunset sessions always end up being worth it.

Summer dates are filling quickly for June and July.

Sometimes I feel bad that I don’t post constantly on social media anymore 😂

But truthfully…
most days I’m either:
editing galleries late at night,
answering client messages while making dinner,
or at the beach talking way too long with clients after sessions because I genuinely enjoy getting to know people 🤍

And honestly I think I’ve become okay with that.

I’d rather spend more time actually living life and serving my clients well than constantly trying to “keep up” online.

So if you’re still here following along even when I disappear for a little while sometimes…
thank you 🥹

I appreciate it more than you know.

New season.
And I was so honored they trusted me to document it.
It was one of those chilly beach evenings — but these kids were absolute troopers and made it look like a warm summer sunset.
