• Culling photos this week from this past weekend’s mini sessions! Went from the valley (fell in love all over again with the golden brown hills) to the beaches. Thinking of scheduling a last set of mini sessions for 2022 and already have a few new potential places in mind.

• I’m so behind on posting recently shot sessions. I did Julie and Paul's couple's maternity photos a couple of months ago during a very gloomy day at the beach. I was expecting for the weather to turn cold but for some reason it stayed pleasant. They decided to stick around a bit longer after their session as I hiked back up to the parking lot. I looked down from the cliff and could see their figures: sitting, snuggled, her head on his shoulders, eyes looking out to the sea of kelp forests. Enjoying the last few weeks until their two became three. Congrats you two on your beautiful baby girl!

• Been off social media for a bit and there's something absolutely liberating about that.

Enjoyed almost 2 weeks out of state on road trips, visiting a lava tube, rafting down a river for 3 hours (actually felt longer than that...but it was so fun!), went on a short hike to a (I'm assuming) class IV rapids, ate burgers, biked on trails and last but certainly not least...met my newly minted niece who turned 1 month old on a day we spent time with her!

P.S. I could totally move to Deschutes County, OR. Everywhere I looked, every nook and cranny was so family photo ready. Seriously...I pictured taking photos of families everywhere. The place was beautiful!

• I didn't realize it's been a long minute since I posted anything. It's been an exciting couple of weeks shooting sweet sessions that I can't wait to share with you all and since life has a way of peeping it's head and throwing curve balls, I completely missed posting anything on this platform at all. In the meantime, here's a precious face to sweeten your Monday morning.

• Looking forward to a beach side couple's maternity session this weekend!

I take quite a bit of family photos by the beach, it's actually one of my favorite locations to shoot in. Whether it's early in the morning, during the day or during that golden hour light, I'm there!

• Many years ago I was driving in downtown Los Angeles and was stopped at a light that seemed to take forever to change back to green. I was looking around and saw a little boy (who couldn't have been more than 7 years old) next to an older woman in a wheelchair. Both of them were eating ice cream in a cone. What caught my attention was the carefree laughter they both shared as the ice cream dripped down their hands. What unfolded before me put a smile on my face and I hadn't noticed that I was staring. They saw me. As the light turned green, they both waved and I waved back. I was thankful for that light that seemed to take forever to turn green.
