We spent the day watching the clouds roll in, fighting the wind and wondering what the evening would look like. But that’s the thing about love stories on the coast…the storm always makes way for something breathtaking. Just when we thought the sky was done, it opened up into this absolutely incredible sunset 😍

I did Kim and Greg’s engagement, their wedding and when they told me their sweet boy Mowgli was fighting cancer and they wanted to celebrate his birthday with a session, it was an immediate yes. We caught the most beautiful golden hour and celebrated his oncology graduation. I’m so incredibly grateful to keep documenting these special moments for my couples. Happy birthday, Mowgli. 🐾

Rule #1 of a family session: Let the kiddos run the show. Rule #2: Expect the unexpected and lean into it. We played with castles, read books, had a donut break, played games and took very convincing pretend naps on the couch and living room floor when we needed a “photo break”. I wouldn’t trade these beautiful, unfiltered moments of extended family sessions for anything. ❤️

Spent a very sweet morning barefoot under the oak hammocks for this multi generational session. First time meeting this family and they are just the kindest humans. So much love between the grandparents, parents and this sweet girl ❤️

Swipe through to the end for baby 2009 Jess. I’ve built a whole career and grown so much since then, but there is still no where else I’d rather be than behind the lens. She would be so proud to see how far things have come all these years later. So grateful to everyone who lets me capture their stories. 🫶(And thank you and for making me get infront of the camera even though I hate it 😂)

Motherhood is a wild ride and pregnancy is this fleeting window where it’s just the two of you.

With all the noise of prepping for baby, step away from the to do list. It doesn’t have to be the beach, just choose a place that is your calm, a place that makes you happy and relaxed to soak it all in. No stiff posing or forced smiles. Just the real, raw beauty of this chapter. These moments are always some of my favorite to capture.
