As usual, it's been forever and a day since I've posted anything on here. Life right now consists of being a wife, mom, homeschool teacher, and volleyball coach with photography on the back burner. However, I did get out some this summer and enjoy and photograph this beautiful state I get to call home.

It's been awhile..we'll see how many people actually see this photo beings I haven't posted in forever and have surely made the algorithm annoyed!

I hope everyone is having a fabulous summer. We have been enjoying some spectacular weather up here in Palmer, Alaska.

Last week my son and I went on an orca cruise with Major Marine Tours and had an amazing time and made some wonderful memories. We unfortunately didn't see any orcas, but witnessed two groups of humpback whales come together and do some lunge feeding. It was quite an experience to have so many humpbacks around the boat.

Sometimes I look through photos I've taken and I think, 'Why haven't I ever shared this one?'
This particular photo didn't turn out well, settings were off and it was very grainy and not focused well, but it's still one of those photos that floods my mind with the memory of being there and it is quite unique.

Well, once again several months have gone by and I haven't been posting. This season of life seems to be flying by and I'm just hanging on for the ride.
It has been a cold, wet, and windy start to our spring/summer. Yesterday was the first day that felt like 'summer.' Hopefully we will get some warmer days ahead before the snow starts flying for good this fall.
I took this photo on our way to Seward just about a year ago and I'm headed that way soon to do some fishing. Not counting on the flowers to look like this yet with the cold weather, but hopefully we will be bringing home a cooler full of salmon.

Here are a few more photos from Sunday nights stunning aurora show. Today it's snowing, but on the bright side it's not -19 this morning. While watching this awesome display, my son kept saying, "I can't believe this is real" and looking back at photos, I have the same thoughts.
