I was incredibly humbled and honored last week to have over 150 friends attend the opening of my exhibit, Dogs of The Peloton. I was reminded again of the lesson I learned years ago on the California AIDS ride...a great life is a team sport, and I am very lucky to have such an amazing team - headed by Gloria Kohl...Mentored by Kirsten Lewis Bethmann and supported by more than I can name. Thank you to Molly Menschel for thinking to take some photos and have them capture the feeling of the evening.

I had the absolutely mind-blowing experience of a solo photo exhibit opening party last week. I have said this now about 100 time this week but not here. I am utterly and completely grateful to my teacher/mentor, Kirsten Lewis Bethmann. I would never have come close to doing this, let alone doing it well enough to have dozens and dozens of guests (yes, over 150) if not for Kirsten. Over this last couple years she knew just when to push and how much....just when to pull (literally more than once by my collar); just what questions to make me ask myself and how much room to give me to answer. And she did what I could never have done, and curated this exhibit! Perfectly. Kirsten Lewis Bethmann, you are not only a brilliant photographer, but you are an incredibly gifted teacher. I feel like a genius for asking to be your student. And just oh-wow lucky for you saying yes. I am, finally, saying "I'm a photographer!" And believing it. Thank you Kirsten.🥰😍
