Ten years of photographing this family. The time has flown by.
I met them when Ashton was a newborn. Now there are two boys, a whole collection of sessions together, and photos that remind me just how little they used to be.
Seeing families again is one of my favorite parts of this job. We catch up, I see how much the kids have grown, and somewhere in between, I get to take their pictures.
I still love catching the little things: a look between mom and dad, the boys making each other laugh, a quick snuggle before someone runs off. They’re easy moments to miss, and often my favorite photos from a session.
I’ve been behind the camera for 15 years now, and I appreciate those pictures more with every year that passes. Especially the ones that didn’t seem like a big deal at the time.
After taking some time away, it feels good to be back. I missed this work and the people it’s brought into my life.
To the families who keep coming back, thank you. I know you have a choice in who takes your photos, and it means a lot that you keep choosing me.
And if we haven’t met yet, I’d love to get to know you and your family.
