I know I'm preachin' to the choir on this page, because you all have known these young people for a long time. You know how special they are.
Here's the story about Esther, and honestly how unique (and gutsy) she truly is.

On Saturday after the Countryside game, I shared this story idea with the college football editor at the national sports site I work for (FanBuzz, a subsidiary of Publishers Clearing House, based out of NYC).
He LOVED this story idea (he's a fellow Gator grad from Palm Beach, so we get along well). We spent some time on it, worked with our own awesome PHU photo talent Monika Malyszko to secure some top-flight art, and timed the publishing of it to coincide with HS football ramping up in the next 24 hours, instead of fighting Monday Night Football or CFB.
This published an hour ago, around 2 pm ET on Thursday. My editor just hit me up and said the story is going viral nationally on our FanBuzz Facebook feeds. It's not uncommon for a story to do 100K in a day.
I warned Esther about this, but she is a gutsy young lady and said she'd be happy if her unique story gets to somebody younger than her.
I learned in a one-hour interview with her that this is how this young lady ticks. She really does have serious guts, in multiple ways (on the field, off the field, socially, etc).
Anyway, this one was a lot of fun! Wrote itself.
