🌿 New creations weekly I specialize in Americana, the rust and dust of everyday life of our great country. Old industrial equipment, family farms, forgotten factories, old

cars... the things that made our country what it is today. The labors and the strength of the working class is represented along with my intrigue with the wild west. Living in California I travel to places seen in the old movies and often the landscape doesn't look much different. Still rugged with steep mountains and cacti, I imagine what it would be like riding horse for days just to get to the next dusty town.

While making my Autumn Whispers journal, I found myself thinking about why I kept certain pages—the ones with worn corners, irregular edges, and marks left behind by the dyeing process. They weren't perfect, but they carried exactly the rustic, nostalgic feeling I wanted the journal to have. That led me to think about the Japanese art of Kintsugi and the idea that imperfection doesn't always need to be hidden.
