Caroline & Austin!!!!!! 🤍

What a day!! The sweetest people, the happiest tears, a chapel full of people who love them deeply, and the kind of moments that remind us why we do this in the first place. From the quiet little hand squeezes during the ceremony to the way Austin looked at Caroline all day long…these two made Hawthorne House feel extra magical this weekend!

And can we talk about how timeless everything felt?! The soft florals, the candlelight, the firemen uniforms, the champagne tones, every little piece came together so beautifully!!! 🫶🏼 These are just a few sneak peeks, but already so many moments we know they’ll look back on for the rest of their lives 🥹

Right after they shared the news, we gave them a simple prompt... and we chatted with them, not at them.

It usually starts way before the photos…
you’re planning everything, saving all the beach inspo, and there’s this tiny thought in the back of your head like… what if it looks pretty but doesn’t actually feel like us?
Not in a big obvious way, just in that quiet “idk… something’s missing” kind of way.
Because you don’t want to act out your relationship, you just want to be in it… even with a camera there.

That’s the part no one really talks about.
You can have “perfect” photos and still not feel anything when you look back at them. The wind, the way you naturally grab each other, the in-between moments… that’s the stuff that actually matters. And if that’s what you care about, how it feels while it’s happening matters just as much as what it looks like after.

It always starts off light.
He tried to laugh it off, you brush it off...and you assume it’ll just work itself out

But then the camera actually comes out.

And suddenly he doesn’t know what to do with his hands, you’re trying to help without making it worse, and the whole thing starts to feel way more like pressure than something you were excited about.

And the worst part is... most couples think that’s just how it is.
