**COMING SOON | SAN DIEGO FROM ABOVE**

A first glimpse from my newest aerial fine art series, photographed from a helicopter above the San Diego coastline.

From the intricate natural fractals formed along the Pacific coast to the extraordinary patterns of the kelp forests below, the landscape takes on an entirely different character when viewed from above—somewhere between documentation and abstraction.

These first images are only a preview.

Over the coming weeks, I’ll be releasing selected works from the San Diego aerial collection as I continue developing this body of work for my fine art portfolio and the San Diego chapter of my forthcoming 2027 publication, Edges of Performance: A Global Journey Through Earth’s Most Fragile Ecosystems.

✨ Exciting News — My Aerial Collection Has a New Home!

I’m thrilled to share that Doreen McGunagle Fine Art is now part of the Palm Beach Art, Antique & Design Showroom in Lake Worth Beach, Florida!
My new gallery space features selections from my Abstract Realism from the Air Collection a body of work that transforms the natural landscape through an aerial perspective, revealing unexpected patterns, textures, movement, and color that often feel more like paintings than photographs.

Each work is created as a limited-edition fine art piece, handcrafted in Italy and designed for collectors and interiors where art becomes a statement.

I’m incredibly excited to join the Palm Beach Art, Antique & Design Showroom and share this collection alongside an inspiring community of art, antiques, and design.

🌍 **Honored to Become a Fellow of the Royal Geographical Society**

I am delighted to share that I have been accepted as a **Fellow of the Royal Geographical Society (FRGS)**.

Founded in 1830, the Royal Geographical Society has a remarkable history of advancing geographical science, exploration, field research, education, and our understanding of the world.

Receiving this distinction is especially meaningful because it brings together so many dimensions of my work—research, education, conservation, nature photography, and documenting the relationship between people and some of our planet's most remarkable and fragile ecosystems.

My work has increasingly taken me beyond simply photographing beautiful places. Through fieldwork, research, and visual storytelling, I seek to explore the environmental and human forces shaping landscapes and wildlife and to communicate why protecting these ecosystems matters.

Becoming a Fellow of the Royal Geographical Society represents another step in that journey and an opportunity to engage with an international community committed to geographical knowledge, exploration, research, and conservation.

I am deeply grateful for this recognition and excited about where the journey leads next.

🎥 Now Premiering: Between Lavender and Water | Southern France

I'm delighted to share the first documentary in my new series, Edges of Performance: A Global Journey Through Earth's Most Fragile Ecosystems.

Between Lavender and Water takes you on a visual journey through the breathtaking landscapes of Provence and the Camargue in Southern France. From fragrant lavender fields and vibrant sunflower farms to expansive wetlands alive with greater flamingos and the iconic white horses of the Camargue, this film celebrates the extraordinary beauty and interconnectedness of one of Europe's most remarkable ecosystems.

Created through my fine art photography and documentary storytelling, this film reflects my passion for revealing the relationships between landscapes, wildlife, and the people who help preserve them. It is the first chapter in a global journey to document Earth's most fragile ecosystems and inspire a deeper appreciation for their conservation.
