Pumpkin Spice Season, Adirondacks NY

Oh September, you’re almost here, bringing cooler morning temperatures and leaves shifting from vibrant summer greens to hues that promise a beautiful show for us to enjoy. (hopefully)

Here is a photo i captured a few years ago on very cold, but beautiful morning in the far northern reaches of Upstate NY in the Adirondack Mountains.

Going Up?

A little something different for me, something local for a change. LOL, Don't worry i will be back to traveling soon enough.

This was from the weekend, i saw this comp and just knew i had to shoot it, i shot this image in Back and white and pretty much didnt do anything in photoshop other than a small crop for square.

The Fisherman, Myrtle Beach

The fisherman casts his line and waits for a bite, wondering what it might be, how long it will take, and what the sea will offer in return for his time at the old pier.

i spent about an hour photographing this pier and this fisherman never moved from this spot, this was a 5 second exposure and he is in perfect focus, everyone else on the pier was blurred out from movement, but he stood perfectly still.

August Sunflowers

Nothing better than sunflowers with blue sky and white puffy clouds.

These images were taken on a day trip over the buttonwood farm in Griswold CT.

Fire & Ice

One of my favorite locations on a beautiful morning, the light and clouds changed so quickly that it felt like i was shooting several sunrises all in the same morning, it was just incredible.

I added a small video clip from my action camera from that morning.

Dredging Sunset

I was taking a few shots of the 2nd Ave Pier when the sky to my right suddenly lit up with an incredible display. The storm raged, the sea was rough, and you could feel the cool air sweeping away the hot, sticky heat. It was something truly special to witness after several days in a row with temperatures topping 105.

Just before capturing this moment, I noticed some ocean spray on my filter, so I removed it to clean it. After putting it back on and making a few adjustments, I decided to take a test shot, and this was it. I didn’t think much of it at the time and even forgot I had taken it until I stumbled upon it while searching for another image. It ended up being one of my personal favorites from the trip.
