Every good love story needs a little plot twist… apparently their wedding day decided it needed one too. 😂🤍

I may not have started by expecting to be the one behind the camera for these moments, but sometimes wedding days have other plans. And when I’m needed, I show up, grab my camera, and make it happen.

Because underneath all the unexpected chaos was what actually mattered — Marahi + Isael were MARRIED. 🥹 The smiles were real, the love was everywhere, and their day was far too beautiful to let anything else become the story.

Some babies enter the world already surrounded by a lifetime’s worth of love. 🤍

Little Reace, at home in the arms of the people who have been waiting for him — passed from mom to dad, to grandparents, to family who couldn’t stop staring at every tiny detail. A house a little fuller, arms a little busier, and a family soaking in the kind of moments you don’t realize are becoming memories until they’re already gone.

There’s something incredibly beautiful about newborn sessions at home. No rushing. No perfect backdrop needed. Just the rooms where he’ll grow up, the people whose voices he’ll learn, and the hands that will hold his through every version of who he becomes.

Reace + Lela have trusted me to document some incredibly meaningful pieces of their story, and getting to capture this chapter — their baby boy home, safe, loved, and surrounded by family — is one I won’t forget.

Someday, little Reace will look at these photographs and see something he was too small to remember:

just how loved he was from the very beginning. 🤍

Some sessions feel like stepping straight into a dream—or in this case, straight off Monika’s Pinterest board. 🤍

The soft evening light was absolutely breathtaking, falling over the pond while everything around us felt quiet and still. Surrounded by nothing but water, greenery, and the sounds of nature, Monika + Matt got to soak in some of their last quiet moments together before their little boy makes them a family of three.

There was something so beautiful about photographing them in this season—the anticipation, the stillness before everything changes, and a love between them that needed absolutely no direction. It was in every glance, every touch, every little moment in between.

Soon, life will be a little louder. But for one evening, it was just them. 🤍

Some moments don’t need to be posed. They just need to be remembered. 🤍

The hospital room was quiet, the world outside kept moving, but for these first 48 hours, everything revolved around Reace.

The tiny details. The sleepy stretches. The way his parents looked at him like they were memorizing every inch of his face. The kind of love that fills a room without ever making a sound.

There’s something almost cinematic about the beginning of a life—a story unfolding in the smallest, softest moments. And one day, when Reace isn’t quite so tiny anymore, these photographs will take them right back here.

As the storm rolled over the Chicago Botanic Garden, Amanda + Eli stood in the middle of the Rose Garden—and somehow, it felt like everything around them went still. The wind picked up. The sky grew darker. Rain was coming. But for a little while, it was just them.
