It's that High School Yearbook Senior Tribute time of year! This part of the process is so fun... our young people are amazing and they are so loved and appreciated by their families. It gives me such a glow to work on these on our cold January days! I'm aiming to have all my seniors' tributes finalized before the end of the month, so if you missed my emails or haven't had a chance to get back with me I would love to hear from you!

I am always taken aback when people refer to me as an artist. My brain is usually so fully occupied with all the technical aspects of capturing a portrait, I don't fully appreciate all the creativity that is also required! What I love about 171 Cedar Arts Center is that however your soul finds a creative outlet, there is a place for you and your family there. I hope you'll consider giving on this day to 171. Finn | Corning-Painted Post High School Class 2026

I've known Finn almost the entire time we've lived in this cozy corner of the world, so he was just a little guy when we met him. But he's always had a bigger than life personality and it has been so much fun to watch him grow up and take on life.

Finn has plans and the character to adapt and flex as necessary to make them happen. He knew exactly what he wanted for his senior pictures, I mean his grandpa's car, right?! Exactly which golf pose he needed to complete that part of his journey. And his favorite just might have been him and his sweet dog. On a day that was supposed to hold all rain, we had a load of sun and a lot of laughs. Thanks, Finn!

Josh, Ellis, and I had so much fun at the Y at Watson Wood Fall Fest yesterday! Thank you so much to all the amazing vendors who were out on a beautiful November day and providing a wide range of fun and new experiences for our community! Horseback riding, axe throwing, archery, maple ice cream... what a day!

Preston | Corning-Painted Post High School Class of 2026

I'm not certain Preston has found a challenge yet that he can't overcome with his own quiet persistence and hard work... Boy Scouts, Skiing, Life... nothing keeps him down and you can just see it in that amazing smile.

I just love it when these young men come in to my studio and quietly take control of what they want to see happen and how they want to tell their story. Through the logo on their jacket or telling me how their equipment works... their knowledge and desire to infect others with their enthusiasm is just catching. And a quick look over at Mom and you can see the pride shining out of their smiles.

I'm just pretty lucky to be surrounded by so much amazing and Preston is right up there with the best!
