2019 NEW RELEASES
Anyone who has photograph for any length of time know that to do justice to the wealth of subject matter in any photograph, one may need to make repeated attempts to return to the same location at different times of the day, but more importantly return during certain times of the year.
To help me find the best advantage point to express this wide expanse view of Horseshoe Bend near Page, Arizona in my composition, I knew immediately it will require a clear devise plan of action.
First of all, I could not have possibly convey the effectiveness and grandeur of the Colorado River without first properly setting up my sturdy Majestic Tripod, next deciding the right lens to use for my composition. I immediately took on a more detail approach and attached an extreme wide angle lens onto my Cumbersome Large-format View Camera, necessary to capture the fascinating geological structure of the canyon walls.
Secondly, I’m a firm believer that the time of the day, to make our images can make a tremendous difference in our image. I tripped the shutter the moment the sun revealed the most spectacular lighting effect onto my inverted ground glass view.
As part of the 2019 NEW RELEASES, This traditional Classic 30” X 40” Black and White image of Horseshoe Bend is currently for sale. PM for more details.
