I wanted to go over a few tips for future sessions that I thought might be helpful! โฌ๏ธ๐ค
I want your photos to look their absolute best, so here are a few little things that make a BIG difference!
๐ค Skip the last-minute self tan. If youโre planning to tan, try to do it about a week before your session. Fresh self tanner can sometimes photograph orange, streaky, or settle into dry patches. Giving it time to fade naturally creates a much more even look.๐ I loveee a good tan but just do it 4-5 days before your shoot if you donโt want to wait a week๐
๐ Girlies, donโt forget your lips! A little lip gloss, or your favorite lip color goes a long way. Even CLEAR! It helps add life and dimension to your photos and keeps lips from looking dry or flat on camera.๐
๐งผ Wipe those sweet little faces! Right before we start, do a quick check for snack crumbs, runny noses, eye boogies, and sticky fingers. Trust me, it saves so much editing time later! ๐คช
๐ Choose outfits you feel comfortable in. ๐๐ผ Wear something that makes you feel confident and beautiful.
๐ง Hydrate the day before. Drinking plenty of water helps your skin look fresh, healthy, and glowy.๐

Check your nails. Chipped nail polish tends to show up more than people realize, especially during close-up family, maternity, and newborn moments. If you donโt get your nails done, I would suggest painting them the night before so they are fresh!
๐ฑ Empty your pockets. Phones, keys, wallets, hair ties on wrists, and bulky items can create awkward bumps or distractions in photos. ๐ณ
โฐ Arrive a few minutes early. This gives everyone a chance to relax, breathe, and settle in before we start.
Most importantly: donโt stress. Your kids donโt have to be perfect, your partner doesnโt have to love photos, and everything doesnโt have to go exactly as planned. Some of the most beautiful images come from the imperfect, real-life moments in between. ๐ฅฒ
