Twenty-five years ago, I arrived in a new country as a shy 14-year-old girl who spoke no English. Today, I proudly passed my Praxis exam in Leadership and Administration, officially earning my Educational Specialist (Ed.S.) certification.
As an English Language Learner, this journey tested my perseverance. I faced repeated disappointments and frustration—especially with time constraints during the test—but I refused to give up. With the unwavering support of loving teachers who saw potential in me and pushed me forward, and through the grace and guidance of my Heavenly Father, I kept showing up. Third time truly was the charm!
I’m deeply grateful for every opportunity, every mentor, and every lesson along the way. Today marks another meaningful step in my professional growth, and I’m now halfway through my Ed.D. program. The dream isn’t finished yet… Dr. Godwin is on the way! 🙏
Never give up on your dreams. You only truly fail when you stop trying.
