Dear moms,
I get it now.
How you can wake up every two hours and still function as a human.
How you can be overstimulated but still have patience to calm this tiny little thing.
How their tiny hands constantly reaching for you can cure any part of your dusty soul. Even when you tell yourself you're touched out, you know deep down it is an honor to be chosen by a little one.
How you can be exhausted but miss them the second you put them down.
Because your heart beat truly does exist now in someone new.
And it is the most beautiful thing I have ever experienced.
I had so much respect for mothers before, but now after having the privilege of being one this year, I am absolutely floored by them.
