Just a little reminder for my homeschool families — our annual Homeschool “School” Picture Days are coming up soon, and there are only a handful of appointments left! ❤️

📅 Saturday, September 12 — 4 spots left!

That means there are just 7 appointments remaining altogether! 🎉

Each appointment is 15 minutes per family, so you only need ONE appointment for all the kiddos in your household.

The way they reach for you, climb into your lap, tease their siblings, or laugh at Dad’s terrible jokes… it all changes so quickly. ❤️

That’s what I want to photograph.

My Fall Family Story Sessions aren’t about standing everyone in a row and telling you to smile at the camera.

We’ll walk. We’ll play. We’ll snuggle. We’ll let the kids be kids. I’ll guide you when you need it, but mostly I’ll be watching for all those little pieces of your family that deserve to be remembered.

And yes, we’ll still get those beautiful everyone-together photos for the wall. 😉 But we’ll also capture the story around them.

That's one of my favorite things about Homeschool “School” Picture Days.

Our homeschool kiddos get to have that same yearly tradition — the school picture that lets us look back and see just how much they've grown — but we get to do it a little differently. ❤️

No desks.
No cafeteria line.
No assembly-line school pictures.

Just your kiddo, outdoors, being themselves.

Whether they're missing their front teeth, suddenly taller than they were six months ago, bringing along a favorite stuffed friend, or giving me that wonderfully awkward school-picture smile 😂 — this is who they are this year.

There is something so beautiful about documenting the quiet, ordinary moments of motherhood. 🤍

The way your baby curls into you.
The tiny hand resting against your skin.
The way you look down at the little person you grew and realize that, for right now, **you are their whole world.**

Nursing portraits aren’t really about nursing.

They’re about connection.

They’re about remembering the season when your body was nourishment, comfort, safety and home. A season that can feel endless while you're living it... and somehow passes far too quickly.

And if nursing wasn't part of your story—whether you chose not to nurse, weren't able to, or simply found that bottle feeding was what worked best for you and your baby—these portraits are for you, too. 🤍

Because feeding your baby is still a moment of connection. The way they look up at you. Their little fingers wrapped around yours. The way they relax into your arms because **you are their safe place.** Those moments deserve to be remembered, too.

I know because I have portraits of myself bottle feeding my own baby, and even though he's 14 now, I still treasure those photographs to this day. They preserved something I couldn't possibly hold onto any other way.

And these moments don't have to be posed or perfect. They can simply happen as part of your family's story—snuggled together on a blanket, Dad leaning in close, everyone loving on the newest little person in the family.

Someday, this baby won't fit so perfectly in your arms anymore.

One of the things I realized I missed from public school was something so simple — **school pictures.**

You know the ones. That photo you get every year that somehow becomes a little timeline of childhood. 🥹

So when it came time to take my own son’s “school” pictures, I thought… *surely other homeschool families miss this too.*

And that’s how my Homeschool “School” Picture Days began. ❤️

They’re a chance for our homeschool kiddos to have that same yearly school-picture tradition — without actually having to go to school to get it. 😉
