Traded in my wedding formal wear for cowboy boots to shoot the National Day of the American Cowboy parade with Amy at The Barn on Saturday! Very cool experience in a place I love! 🤠❤️

It was impossible to pick only a few favorites from this joy-filled day! Between the gorgeous bride & groom, their beautiful bridesmaids and groomsmen, and every carefully-crafted detail, this day was too perfect not to capture. These are just a few of my favorite moments from the ceremony and reception, a few special behind the scenes moments, and some of the special details the bride and her mama and big sister have spent the last year working on! It won't surprise anyone that the mother-of-the-bride has had a career as an event planner... These ladies know how to throw a good party! 😁

Side note, I was not the professional hired to photograph this event! I was there as a friend, a guest, and mother to a very special junior bridesmaid who wanted these photos for her own scrapbook! The professional who photographed this wedding was wonderful and talented and worked her f***y off all day and into the night! I tried to be very discreet with my picture-taking and not get in her way! Still, I love these people and wanted to document my view of their big day! 💕

Something a little different from my usual... 🖤
Carlie came to me and said that as she approaches her 30th birthday next week, she wanted a "death to youth" photoshoot! She laughed and said that it's really a celebration because she's so excited to be leaving her 20s behind and looking forward to this brand new decade! I'm always up for new adventures in photography, so we went for it! Carlie is an absolute doll, and despite the graveyard vibes you see here, she truly loves life! We walked through this resting place for some of our loved ones, recognizing that this place isn't the end for those united to Christ by faith. As daughters of the King of kings, we get to quote the Apostle Paul in 1 Corinthians 15:55, "O death, where is your victory? O death, where is your sting?" We celebrate the resurrection of Jesus and the promise that sin and death no longer have power over us as believers! So Happy Birthday to Carlie! I pray for every imaginable blessing for you in your 30s and beyond! It just gets better and better! 🙌🖤3️⃣0️⃣🥳🫶

Just the beginning of the fun I had with this sweet family last night, before those storm clouds let loose! We weren't sure if we'd get anything good, and there was talk of scheduling a new date, if these didn't turn out so great. But y'all, we rolled with it and shot in between wind gusts the best we could, and I dare say these couldn't be cuter!! And in case you ever struggle with what to get Mom for Christmas, her birthday, or Mother's Day... Here's your answer! Mom loved getting a gift card for this family photoshoot, and I pray she treasures these memories for years to come! ❤️

Abby is graduating! Midlothian HS | Class of 2026 💙🤍 When you move to the great state of Texas just in time for senior year... Bluebonnet grad photos are a must! 🙂🪻😍
I've had the joy of getting to know this sweet, smart young lady this year. She is mature well beyond her years, like a 2nd mama to her 3 younger brothers, keeping them all in line! She is a joy to her mom & dad, and she loves Jesus with her whole heart! I can't wait to see all the ways the Lord will be at work through Abby! 🤩
