I've been reflecting a lot on the past year... it was a REALLY special one. I feel like 2023 was the year that JKPhotography became a child... like an elementary-school-aged kiddo. Every single one of my sessions had such a unique personality. I had the folks that I've seen year after year... sometimes almost month after month... the OGs who know what I mean when I'm talking about THE blanket. And then I saw some folks I hadn't seen in awhile but who felt like sliding right back into our old friendships. And then still new friendships that we made that I hope we get to continue. THANK YOU. Thank you for letting me love on your babies and make you awkwardly snuggle in front of me. Thank you for telling me how you met and why you love to run cross-country. Thank you for letting me know how hard this year was for you or how you were so excited to go back to work after maternity leave. Or how you wished you could bottle up each and every moment of newborn snuggles. JK Photography grew up this year. We acquired a new blanket (WOW. I know.). We found some new locations. We DIDN'T get told to leave said locations. We laughed, we cried, your kids colored me pictures. I can't begin to explain how much my heart twists inside of my chest when your kiddos remember who I am and eagerly run to tell me hi. I love you all. Thank you for supporting me in yet another year of crazy chaos.

Sometimes you get one of those weeks where every day is dreary and cold. The week of Halloween was one of those. Except for Saturday. When the sun came out and it warmed up just enough to create the most perfect day for this couple. The sweetest wedding party, touching vows the couple wrote themselves and the fun Halloween elements were the icing on the cake.

Would there be any interest in autumn minis? I'm thinking 20 minute sessions for $75, all the edited pictures I can muster from that (guaranteed 10, but if you've ever taken pictures with me, it could easily be 50). DM me if you're interested! I truly believe that photos are one of the most beautiful and celebratory ways to celebrate milestones. If nothing else, they make you step back and think a little bit. Do cookies float in milk? No. No, they don't. But I will forever remember this little dude's face as he wondered what in the heck he was doing sitting in a bucket of milk surrounded by cookie crumbs 🥰 Thank you for letting me celebrate this ONE year old with you Fly family!
