Hello, 2022! Here's a little look at our year in review. :)

Hello, 2021. Since I last wrote, let's see - we have a beautiful baby who loves to dance, eat, and is about to turn ONE! We have a beautiful 3-year old who makes me laugh every day and also never stops talking. I started sewing - odds and ends at first and now I'm onto... clothes! And I've played one whole video game with Brian, start to finish. So, things are pretty good around here. Besides, I don't know, the pandemic situation. Mostly I came on here to share our holiday card because I forgot to earlier and wanted to.

These girls are a highlight of my fall sessions. They radiate joy (I mean, don't they?!). And they are in the moment - even during a 20 minute session! The oldest two were looking for the perfect wildflowers when my camera spotted them, which made my nature loving heart so happy too.

Happy Fall, friends! A few openings remain for fall mini-sessions this October. If you're still needing photos for your walls and holiday cards, let me know! First come, first served. Info below.

Dates:
Saturday, October 12th (still available - 8am & 8:30am)
Saturday, October 26th (still available - 8am, 8:30am, 5pm, & 5:30pm)

The details:
- $220 (+ tax)
- 20 minute session
- KC Metro location
- 8-10 edited images
- $80 deposit to reserve date/time
- space limited
- rain out date reserved for the very next day (Sunday) of each date

The first thing Caspian told me upon arrival was how he had just learned to hold his baby sisters the day before. I melted. He was so sincere and proud. I mean, truly, can you even handle these gorgeous twin beauties? All the love for their new family of 6!!!

Last year's mini-sessions were so fun (seriously, I was on a high after seeing all of you!), I am very excited to offer them again in 2019. I'm also making a change from the past years... please note - mini-sessions are all that will be available this year (compared to last year when I still did some 1-hour individual sessions).

The most important part... DATES!:
- Saturday, May 4th
- Saturday, October 12th
- Saturday, October 26th

The format is the same as last year:
- $220 (+ tax)
- 20 minute sessions
- KC Metro
- 8-10 edited images
- $80 deposit to reserve date/time
- space limited
- rain out date reserved for the very next day (Sunday) of each date

If you're interested in booking, email me ([email protected]) and I'll send you reservation info. I know it's a long way out, especially to be thinking about fall photos! If you're like me, it helps to put it on the calendar far in advance so it can be safely saved from other incoming events.

Finding balance is an ever-changing journey, and as Clara grows, I am also growing and adapting to life with her and as a family. Condensing sessions into a few days provides the opportunity to continue seeing, documenting, and hanging out with you (which I love!) while allowing time for me to be a more present parent and partner in the in-between.

Mini-sessions this fall were so much fun! I came home on a high like I do after shooting a wedding. So many people to see and talk to and catch up with. So many fun kids running around and lighting up life (see what I mean with these sisters - so much sweetness and energy and joy!). It was a great day!

Happy Halloween from our hoppy little bunny. Clara loved this costume. She wore it twice before at her request and I thought the novelty might have worn off. Last night we went up to her room and I asked if she wanted to wear her bunny costume. She literally squealed and hugged it as I pulled it off the hanger and could not get into it fast enough. She especially loved her bunny hands and toes. Thanks, Grandma Barb Saar Becker, for the safety pin alteration. :D

Rachelle Becker is one of my assistants for weddings--so when she asked me to photograph her family, you can say I was super flattered. It's always a bit more pressure when the client is a photographer. They wanted an in-home shoot that showcased their life as a family! And that it did. And as this pic will show you....Brian and Rachelle are head-over-heels for their little Clara. I mean. Who wouldn't be with her darling smile and the ornery twinkle in her eyes???

Last week I was taking photos of the neighbors while Clara ran around the yard. She is a hilariously helpful toddler - closing cabinet doors behind us, making us put things, 'ba, ba' after we're finished with them. This day she assisted by volunteering to be my bag carrier. Cutest assistant I've ever had. :D
