Photographing a 2 year old in 10 minutes. ☺️
The key here is to have the settings locked in, and the lighting setup and ready to go!
And of course you have to “talk baby” if you know what I mean! 😆
Never be in a rush. The intention is never to rush anything. But it’s just about being ready for anything. If it took an hour or longer, I’m okay with that! But do you really think a 2 year old wants to be photographed for a whole hour? 😂 He was like 3 minutes away from doing the back arch. If you know, you know! 😆

The 50mm f/1.8 is of the most iconic, cheap, good lenses for beginners!

But I highly recommend the 50mm f/1.2 because it’s more sharp, better bokeh, better build quality, just overall better.

But the 50mm f/1.8 is a good starting point! ☺️

So a photographer friend of mine at Rudjard Photography asked if I can test out his new MagStands! And I was more than happy to!
The MagStand lives up to the hype. It makes me wish I would’ve pre-ordered the kit on the KickStarter! It’s like… the best light stand I’ve ever used! WOW! It’s solid, durable, and SUPER quick to setup! The most convenient light stand, ever! I LOVE c-stands because they’re solid, but this MagStand is really something else! Yo MagMod please send me one hahaha!

My sister, Cierra modeled for this photoshoot. I used this location right outside of my studio in Ottumwa, IA. I’m thinking to myself why I’ve never used this location for a photoshoot. With the correct angles, you can capture with some amazing shots! Of course using the Flashpoint XPLOR 400 Pro + 36” Glow Parasnap for the key light. And the Flashpoint eVOLV 200 + 34” Glow Beauty Dish for the rim light!
