Official page of Bobby Harvey Video Productions My name is Bobby Harvey, and I've been filming train videos since 2004.

Over the years I've made 60+ DVDs featuring my video, and have been on YouTube since 2008. On this page I post about my various video projects, and also livestream some of my completed productions. Be sure to 'Like' this page for all the latest! I film trains in the Midwest, most notably southeast Iowa, as well as Illinois and Missouri. Occasionally I'll venture away from the Midwest and

film from other parts of the US. You'll see everything from railfanning on the mainline (Amtrak, BNSF, Union Pacific, Iowa Interstate, and others...), plus videos of shortlines, city transit (light rail, subways, streetcars, etc), and even videos of model trains from various swap meets and my own collection. I've started a series of Amtrak train documentaries which I plan on continuing in the years to come. I also feature trains each year from the Midwest Old Threshers Reunion in Mt Pleasant, IA.

Amtrak’s California Zephyr departs Ottumwa, Iowa on May 8th, 2026. On the end of the train is Phase VII painted coach baggage car 31025, and Heritage Fleet sleeping car “Pacific Bend” on the rear.

Livestream update for 5/24: There will be no weekend livestreams this weekend, as well as next weekend, 5/29-5/31, as we’re gearing up for our first significant family trips for the summer! I have been taking quite a bit of normal video lately, that I hope to be sharing with you all soon through Reels. Stay tuned for more!

This evening's planned livestream from Ottumwa has been cancelled. Due to other things taking longer than expected I just don't have enough time to get down to the tracks this evening, lol! We will try again next week!! In the meantime I hope to have plenty of other news and perhaps some videos coming soon.

AMTK 100 “Midnight Blue” leads the California Zephyr through Ottumwa, IA on April 1st, 2026. This video shows the train approaching downtown at Vine Street, then departing the station near Gateway Drive. An FRA geometry test car was also in the consist!
