Join us September 19th at Forest Park for a display of cars and vendors, followed by a 60s cruise night through downtown. I'm thrilled to return and document the event; I hope to see you there!

Definitely still a memorable night and one that is brought up often! I wouldn’t have gotten these pictures if my MIL wouldn’t have gotten the seats so definitely appreciative of that. Still makes me laugh knowing that I gave Walker a grocery list with my information on it just in case he wanted any of the photos (because you never know) and he then decided to read out loud and ask questions about what I was making 🤣

9 years ago today I photographed my first rodeo. The rodeo is one of my favorite events to photograph and watch! The speed, the dirt flying up, everything. I didn’t get to see any this year, but hopefully next year!

To say that I can see my growth as a photographer would be an understatement! I’m so grateful for everything that I have learned since then, I personally think my photos have gotten much better!

Not the best but it's something! Had a beautiful night for a rodeo this last friday in Paola, KS! Super proud of my sister-in-law for doing so good on her barrel race!

To me, being a cowgirl/cowboy isn't just about owning horses or wearing boots—it is a reflection of how you carry yourself every single day. It’s about staying close to Jesus, keeping your feet grounded in humility, and putting your whole heart into a hard day's work. All that I want to work on personally, and the values that I hope I can teach my children as they grow. Today, I’m tipping my hat (figuratively) to the true cowboys and cowgirls who live out those values with grit and grace.

I’m so excited to announce that one of my photos of the Red Fox will be published in the newest edition of “Mammals of Kansas”, written by the University of Kansas Biodiversity Institute.

The KU Mammal Collection Manager and a colleague are contracted with University Press of Kansas to write the next edition of the Mammals of Kansas. All prior editions were also published by faculty at the University of Kansas Biodiversity Institute, but the last version was published in 1981. The book will contain distribution/range maps, and drafting species accounts for all 89 species of mammal found in the state, featuring contributions from expert mammalogists from across the region. The book is set to be officially released/published in 2028/2029.
