Took Stella out for another training session and she didn’t disappoint. The track was two hours old and she found it no problem.

Got out today to practice with the thermal drone and had an awesome experience! Spotted a handful of doe and a decent looking buck roaming the area. Tweaked some settings to dial in those heat signatures, after that I was able to pick up a raccoon in a tree from 400 feet up!

Thermal drone in action. Took the new drone out for a test run the other night and spotted deer fast, even in thick brush and low light. This thermal is a game changer for recovery and scouting.

Kicked off the morning at Creek Side Deer Recovery with Joe Tenney, an expert in dog and thermal drone tracking. Got Stella out for her first official training session, and she crushed it! Joe’s setup is impressive, and it was great to see Stella start dialing in her instincts alongside some top-tier recovery tools.

Deer season starts in just 7 days, and I’m feeling confindent for what’s ahead. Big thanks to Joe for the guidance this season’s shaping up to be something special.
