Your life is a beautiful story. Let me help you tell it. Now booking family sessions.

Today is perfect just as it is. And that is worth capturing. As a lifestyle family photographer, I aim to tell the story of your family in an authentic way. No props. No stiff poses. No "cheeses." Just you, your loved ones, and the essence of what makes your family unique. I am a busy wife and mama myself, so I know how stressful family photos can be, but they don't have to be. Imagine yourself ca

ptured when you are most relaxed, having fun with your family, and feeling your best. Moments matter. Photos matter. Not just as a record of how you look, but as a testament to the love that binds you together. Sound like something you're interested in? Let's talk. Sometimes you have the privilege of knowing a moment is special while you’re in it.

But I think that’s rare.

Most of the time, you don’t recognize those special moments until they’re gone because they’re disguised as the monotony of living.

Time being the thief it is, you wish you could go back for just a bit — taking with you the wisdom of knowing it wasn’t as mundane as you imagined.

I’m not sure I always achieve it, but my goal is to capture those moments for you, so that someday down the road, you can look back and see the magic you might have missed the first time.

Buy your kids the good art supplies if you can.

Let them use the fancy paper and brushes before you think they’re “ready.”

Let them make messes with paint and markers and glue and glitter.

Collect piles of art and encourage them to make more.

Don’t worry if they don’t use them properly.

Don’t worry that they’re “wasting” the good supplies.

Treat them like artists now — so they grow up believing in their own voice. Because the world needs more people who aren’t afraid.

What a gift it is when families come back time and again for a session. 💕 Seven years of documenting this amazing family and each session brings something new to love about them.

I think the thing that makes each session so good is that they just show up as themselves, roll with the punches, and understand that time races faster than any of us can comprehend. So it doesn’t matter what happens during that hour we’re together, they know that in the end, they’ll look back on these photos as a treasured record of just being together.

Just wanted to share this gorgeous family from the spring time.

I try to be prepared for anything, and yet, every time, I’m surprised by something. I mentioned Michael Jackson at some point (who knows why) which prompted a mid-orchard moonwalk by the youngest. It was definitely a highlight of this session.

Every family is different - bringing their own energy, personalities, and relationships. It is a gift to be able to witness so many families, to learn from them, and to play a small part in creating and preserving memories for them.

My hope is that YOUR session will help you notice and appreciate the little things that make your family unique.

{Thank you to Papa Citrus for letting us use your beautiful orchard as a backdrop.}

Summer is the perfect time for a more documentary style session.
Bare feet.
Berry picking.
Water play.
However you want to spend your time,
with a fly on the wall to capture all those
little moments you want to treasure.

Most of what I post lately leans lifestyle,
or what I would call
“posed candids.”
I enjoy it.
It’s beautiful,
it’s fun,
it’s real, even if it’s prompted.

But documentary holds another level of honesty that speaks to me. Maybe it speaks to you too.

Your session shouldn’t look like everyone else’s. It’s your session and should be a genuine reflection of YOU. I can think of no better way to uniquely capture your family than with a documentary-esque session.

If this sounds like the kind of session you want for your family, send me a DM and let’s get the conversation started.

Do you want to know my favorite location?

Anywhere there’s not other people.
Weird, right? Maybe that’s a disappointing answer, but it’s the truth.

My favorite location isn’t extraordinary, it’s just a quiet place where you can be yourself, be with your family, capture moments of connection, and not have to worry about who’s watching you. I also don’t have to worry about choosing my shots based on keeping other people out of the shot.

For some people, privacy might not be a concern. But I think most people have trouble being vulnerable in the presence of strangers, and having your picture taken can be an extremely vulnerable experience.

So, if we can find some quiet place where you, and your family, feel free to be themselves, then we’ve found the perfect place for your session.

Two of my favorite places that meet this requirement? First, your own yard or home where everyone feels free to kick off their shoes and lounge on the porch. Second best is my own property where I have booked more sessions than I can count.

{photos taken on my property last October}

Of course I also have a list of beautiful location possibilities around town, but I would love to hear your thoughts and ideas! Comment below where you would feel most comfortable having your own family session. 👇👎🏻

Your life doesn’t need to look like a cinematic fantasy to be worthy of documenting.

I know this isn’t an amazing, mind blowing picture. But it IS a real, honest portrait of my daughter, and the kind of picture that I try to create for every parent that books a session with me.

With AI-generated images everywhere, it’s easy to forget that the realest photos aren’t perfect. They just feel like something you want to hold onto.

And those moments you want to hold onto?
They don’t need expensive cameras or fancy editing.
It’s not about the gear.
It’s about paying attention.
Seeing the light.
Seeing the story.
Knowing when to wait and when to click.

There are so many amazing photographers in our town — so why choose me?

✨ I aim to make sessions more than just picture taking time. My hope is that you create some new memories in the time we’re together. Taking a break from life’s interruptions and demands allows for more connection — that’s the stuff that makes magical photos.

✨ You’ll not only receive all your edited digital images, but (depending on your package) you’ll also receive a set of prints or album to revisit your memories anytime you want. I will forever believe that printed photos are better than digital.

✨ Think your kids are feral or your family chaotic? I got you covered. As a mom of four wild ones, and a photographer to more extended family sessions that I can count, I am a feral kid family chaos wrangle extraordinaire!

✨ Feeling shy or nervous about a session? Introverted or worried you aren’t photogenic? I got you covered too. My goal is to meet you where you’re at. These are YOUR photos and they’ll reflect YOUR genuine personalities.

✨ I believe your session should be fun, relaxed, simple, and low stress. How does that sound to you?

Golden light. Green leaves. And a scent I wish I could have captured in these images. This family recently had a gorgeous session in a local orange orchard that was in bloom.

Heavenly. 🍊

I’ve been thinking of sharing some complete session galleries on my blog — is that something you would be interested in?

Families often arrive at sessions a bit unsure and nervous — worried about looking awkward or not knowing how to pose.

I’m here to say this is so common
AND that you have nothing to worry about.

My job isn’t just to pose your family.
I’m there to calm nerves,
tame chaos,
and help you pause in the present moment.

No stiff poses.
No holding perfectly still.
Just you being you.
It should feel more like time together than a “photo session.”
I just happen to have a camera to preserve the memories forever.

Summer has a rhythm all its own.
Bare feet on warm grass,
sticky fingers,
golden light that lingers.
When the evening stretches longer,
it invites you to slow down and
savor the simple moments that matter.

That’s what I love to capture—your family as they are in this fleeting season.

Not posed. Not perfect. Just present.

Let’s tell your summer story together.
