We recently wrapped up the first part of our East Coast trip✨🌊
One of our favorite afternoons on Nantucket was spent with our friend, Kevin, at Straight Wharf Fish.

Kevin has spent years building a reputation for incredible seafood, but what stood out most to us was the way he welcomed our family. We happened to arrive just as a 206-pound tuna was being weighed in, and he took the time to show the boys how he filleted it and answered all of their questions. Watching their faces was priceless.

After that, we grabbed lunch on the front deck overlooking the harbor, and it was one of those meals you don’t forget.

The seafood was amazing. The view was beautiful. But it was Kevin along with the staff at Straight Wharf’s generosity and hospitality that made the afternoon so special.

Thanks for taking such good care of us, Kevin. We can’t wait come back.

When your family has its own brand 🐮

I loved my time with Bryan and Sarah Stocks last month…so so much. It was the perfect blend of family/storytelling blended with the heart of business. The Stocks family’s homestead embodied love and hard work. These boys sure are lucky ✨

18 years ago, I took this first photo of Danny. We were on the patio at my dad’s house and he stopped by after a shift as a road deputy for the Sheriffs Dept.
My new camera in hand- he let me practice a portrait shot.🤩

At the time I sure wasn’t thinking about what the next 18 years would look like.

This week he retired with a long list of incredible roles he held in this department.
And of course, my favorite model let me take an updated portrait.📷🥰

Last fall, Laura from 9 Maples Farm Market reached out to me right before taking a huge leap into the next chapter of her business.

When Elena first called me about branding photos, it was more than booking a session.

It was a leap of faith.

She was starting her own practice after years in a position she loved - but deep down, she knew it was time for something more. Something of her own.

And one of the very first things she prioritized?

After the roses fade and the crowds go home... this is what remains.
