A little throwback memory from 2018 🥰 Shequella and Evan. Just completed a wedding album for them this week, which was a first for me and a special request from them. I had SO much fun doing it. Tonight I also photographed what I thought would be my last wedding for the foreseeable future. The burnout just gets to be a lot when you have a whole entire other career in addition to your “side hustle” or whatever we even call it these days. I had such a fun night that I’m now contemplating ways to grow my business further and transform it into a full time situation 😂 🆘

I really, really love detail shots 😍 Aside from the couple (obviously) I’d argue these are my favorite things to photograph during the whole wedding day. You can add a lot of character and dimension to a photo with relatively simple techniques! I grabbed a loose piece from the floral details for this shot to create some foreground. When used with select lenses (this was a 35 mm 1.4), it creates a wonderful airy look and adds a little pop! ✨

I know there’s a lot going on right now, and a few of my couples are having to look at rescheduling their dates. If you all need a shoulder to lean on or just want someone to vent to, I’m here for you! It’s such a weird time for us all, but we will get through this together 🤍
