Reading John 9 : A man from birth has been blind and known to all. On Sabbath, Jesus spits and makes mud to place on his eyes and asks him to wash in the pool of Siloam. The disciples ask who sinned in the blind man’s life to cause his blindness. The Pharisees are furious Jesus would break the law of Sabbath.
Jesus does two things : he explains no one sinned for this man to be inflicted. Guess what everyone, your hard space isn’t because you have sinned or another generation. But your ailment and hurt CAN BE REDEEMED. Jesus then goes on to explain that healing will show the power, glory and freedom in God.
Jesus, shows that restoration is for everyone at any time. Jews felt that anything that caused a burden on Sabbath was a sin. Well, our ailments and challenges are never a burden He would walk away from. He will heal every day of the week and especially on the Sabbath to restore a child of God he loves.
The blind man is then asked by the religious leaders who healed him? Jesus. And who is this man to you? A prophet. See these religious leaders could NEVER do the miracles Jesus did and that was threatening to them.
What happened to the man after being healed? He was restored. He was joyful. He was a new man. He knew taking Jesus’s side would mean being excommunicated from Jewish synagogues. He didn’t care. He walked in freedom. He stood taller. He danced longer in the joy of the Lord. No judgement or human could take that from him.
That freedom is for you and me too. When you encounter the living God and He steps in to your space of deep hard, there IS healing. Give Jesus a chance and I promise your life will be forever changed. Hang on. Don’t give up on how hard things can be. Sell out to Jesus.
Oh, and guess what, He’s always been next to you anyway. He has been waiting on you because He is certainly not going to force himself on you.
Join me. Life will never be the same. 🫶🏼
