Evren K. Photography The people most ignorant of beauty are the first to despise it. I'm an artist. I see the deep down potential in people, in things, in places, and in actions.

I get this amazing opportunity to see past the version of themselves they want seen. I see past the mirage that simply satisfies the multitudes hunger for who you are. As a photographer, I am sought out for my eye. Some would say that they hired a photographer because they get blemishes out like nobody else, and sure I can do that, but being sought for my eye means that what I see with my little e

ye is what they desire to see as well. I take pictures. I capture the moment, the superficial love and deep realization of it. I see the joy but also the pain that lead up to this moment. I appreciate the whole journey, the whole person, and capture the strength in the moment, that people are complicated and beautiful and life is hard and beautiful and it's beautiful and worth it and *click*
and it's preserved to look back on and enjoy. I've diversified my arts and I now draw realistic and abstract pieces. I'll be sharing those more in the coming weeks. The equal valuing of a group of people does not strip another group of theirs. You can say, “all lives matter”. But if you taught your children how to see their own skin tone as a weapon, how to breathe when pinned to the ground, how to breathe slow and deep to stay calm when the police approach them aggressively, and how to swallow their pride so they don’t cough up blood, you’d see it differently too.
You’ve made facebook posts about fairness and loving everyone, but have you really loved people of color half as much as you loved yourself? Does love leave people to be mistreated, killed, gaslighted, and backed into a corner where any kind of protest is the wrong kind, and living a good life is one where you can live at all?

I learned something very important recently. Always be kind. Duh, we know that already. Yes, I know it doesn’t sound revolutionary. What I mean is, even when you feel insecure about putting yourself out there, never let your fears or doubts or social constructs get in the way of you being kind. It can be scary to be kind, because the world tries to make soft things edgy.
