As the sun dips below the horizon on this Memorial Day, the sight of the flag waving gently in the cooling evening air serves as a powerful testament to the lives laid down for our freedom. Watching the solemn, moving service at Arlington National Cemetery today, I was deeply struck by the words of a Vietnam-era medic who stood among the rows of white markers. He shared his story with a grace that only those who have witnessed the true cost of war can possess, and he left us with a profound challenge: if you love someone, do not let another moment slip away—call them, text them, or better yet, look them in the eye and say it, and be sure to tell them why you love them. His wisdom was a sobering reminder that none of us are guaranteed a tomorrow, and our appreciation for those who have served—from the fallen heroes who rest in hallowed ground to our resilient veterans and the brave men and women currently deployed—should be reflected in how we cherish the people in our own lives. Let us honor the sacrifices made for our country not just with our words, but by living with the same intentionality and devotion that defined the service of our military, ensuring that we show our gratitude daily through the active, vocal love we share with those who walk beside us. In closing may God bless our fallen, vets, those currently Serving, gold star family's. Most importantly God bless America 🇺🇸
